kept you waiting, huh

I feel bad for not trying to update my site more, but y'know, life kept me busy and I lost momentum on it. I guess I should go over what happened in the year and a half since I updated this place.

2025 was a very weird year, especially the last half of it. Things definitely got a little hairy, what with moving from Alaska to Washington and having to prepare for all of that. It was pretty stressful! I am so glad that I was able to make the move happen though. I'm extremely thankful to my friends for letting me live with them and come to even see me as part of this cool little found family. Living with my parents was sort of a hell looking back, it wasn't really good at all and it only started getting worse once dad started pushing rent onto me. I didn't want to pay that so the tension kept building a bit throughout the months until I got yelled at a bunch and evicted. All the while, I'm still staying mostly on top of my bookstore job and doing well for myself there. I was drawing nearly everyday before work and during lunch, it felt nice having a little pile of doodles building up. (I will get an art page made for this website soon!!!)

Right now, it has been about 6 months since I arrived in Seattle and I think I've settled in pretty well. I'm still trying to find a job though, that has been very annoying. Still, trying not to be dour about it and I'm searching all over the place for anything. In the meantime, I'm helping out with a lot of different chores and errands for the house (cleaning, washing dishes, groceries, helping friends out on stuff, that sorta thing). I'm trying to keep up with drawing as well but that's been a bit harder. I'm hoping by the end of the year that I'll have some zines/comics to show for my efforts. I might even table at a zine fest with my friends! I'll make sure to keep this place posted on stuff like that, in spite of any procrastination/laziness/busyness.

In the near future, I'm gonna keep going with updating the site on this template for a while. Though, I'll maybe start looking into doing something fully custom made for the long term. If that comes to pass, that revamp wouldn't happen until 2027. I'm not good at coding at all so I can't guarantee anything super complex, lol. I'll try and learn more html and css soon, maybe I'll learn how a code editor works instead of just using this in-browser neocities one (sorry for that).

Anyway, that's about all I have right now. I'll try to write more interesting stuff on this blog, even if I doubt my writing abilities. At the very least, maybe more frequent posts here. I'll probably get around to adding a status message box/micro blog box or more things, you can do so much with a website.
